Description |

Basic First Aid broadens the scope of the first responder,
incorporating victim care skills, such as treatment of
musculoskeletal, soft tissue, head and spinal injuries;
poisonings; medical conditions such as diabetic
emergencies and seizures. Course depth is further
broadened by up to date healthy lifestyle and prevention
information. Employers are becoming more aware, and
concerned about meeting workplace health and safety
requirements. This course is a pre-requisite for
individuals applying to personal support worker, Phy/Ed
teachers, childcare providers, flight attendants and company first
responder teams. |

Who should
take this course? |

| |
All lay responders with duty to respond such as airline
personnel, security guards, and employees in the
workplace; family members of patients at high risk for
sudden cardiac death, and those who feel they may need to
respond to an emergency. |

appointment with our certified instructors.
Courses are conducted at your facility, at your
convenience. Days, evenings are available. You
will need to provide adequate floor space, and a VCR with
monitor. |
