Course Description  
  Basic First Aid broadens the scope of the first responder, incorporating victim care skills, such as treatment of musculoskeletal, soft tissue, head and spinal injuries; poisonings; medical conditions such as diabetic emergencies and seizures.  Course depth is further broadened by up to date healthy lifestyle and prevention information.  Employers are becoming more aware, and concerned about meeting workplace health and safety requirements.  This course is a pre-requisite for individuals applying to personal support worker, Phy/Ed teachers, childcare providers, flight attendants and company first responder teams.   
     
  Who should take this course?  
  All lay responders with duty to respond such as airline personnel, security guards, and employees in the workplace; family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death, and those who feel they may need to respond to an emergency.  
     
  How do I set up a class at my company or organization?  
  Please contact us and our helpful staff will be glad to schedule an appointment with our certified instructors.  Courses are conducted at your facility, at your convenience.  Days, evenings are available.  You will need to provide adequate floor space, and a VCR with monitor.  
     
  What is the cost?  
  $30.00 per person, (eight person minimum). [non-hands on course]  
  $15.00 additional per person with any CPR Program.  
  $60.00 per person, (eight person minimum), [hands on course]  
  $40.00 additional per person with any CPR Program.  
  Additional fee of $10.00 for purchase of AHA manual.  
  Payment in full or PO required prior to certifications being issued.

  Approximate Course Length  
  First Aid 1 - 1 1/2 hours [non-hands on course]  
  with CPR 3 hours  
  First Aid 6 hours [hands on course]  
  with CPR 8 hours  
     
  Cancellation Policy  
  A cancellation fee of $50.00 will be assessed if emi is notified less than 48 hours prior to program.  Non-refundable deposit required for rescheduling.
